Celina Bobcats Baseball Earns First-Ever UIL State Tournament Bid

For the first time in school history, the Bobcats have punched their ticket to the UIL Class 5A State Baseball Championship in Round Rock.

The Celina High School baseball team clinched its first-ever UIL State Tournament bid Friday night, defeating Lovejoy 7-3 in the regional final in Frisco. The Bobcats, who finished the regular season 28-6, will face San Marcos at Dell Diamond in Round Rock on June 5. Head coach Marcus Webb said the team "left everything on the field all season long."
